The idea for Sydney for Kids began when Wendy Preston moved to Sydney from interstate and then realised that there wasn't a guide book especially for families to this beautiful city. She started to visit all the potential family-friendly venues she could find with her then two year old son and four year old daughter.

The first edition of Sydney for Kids was released in 1999. Now in it's fifth edition the Guide has now doubled in size to include 400 fun activities for children in and around Sydney.

www.sydneyforkids.com.au was first started in 2001. It is now into its fifth metamorphosis. New features include the revamped Family Fun section with the inclusion of the Sydney for Kids Calendar, the Sydney for Kids Directory
